Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist. 

A/Prof. George Alex manages infants, children and adolescents with gastrointestinal problems. His special interests are in the areas of Paediatric inflammatory bowel disease.

Additionally, George is an expert in Paediatric liver disease.

George is highly skilled to diagnose, treat, and manage digestive disorders in infants, children and teenagers, with any gastrointestinal health complaints. An accurate diagnosis, the first step to a comprehensive treatment and management plan.

A/Prof.  Alex has trained and worked in Australia, Canada, Singapore and the United Kingdom. He is skilled in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, liver biopsy and capsule endoscopy and is currently jointly appointed at Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.

George is an experienced paediatric gastroenterologist, who continues to be very highly respected by his colleagues. A/Prof. Alex performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures at our centre every week. A consultation is essential prior to undertaking a Gastroscopy and or Colonoscopy procedure.
