Latest NBI Olympus Endoscopes at Digestive Health

The Digestive Health is proudly committed to advances in gastrointestinal endoscopy, always at the forefront of new technology in our field. A recent Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy Olympus workshop at Epworth Hospital, Richmond, was very well attended by 4 of our Gastroenterologists. This showcased the latest Olympus NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) and Zoom endoscopy features.

The Digestive Health Centre proudly owns 3 NBI Gastroscopes and 3 NBI Colonoscopes which assist in identifying and characterising suspicious areas found at Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy. These include: Barrett's scarring from chronic reflux, gastric intestinal metaplasia (scarring from chronic gastritis), dysplasia (pre-cancerous cells), and early stomach cancer, colon cancer (bowel cancer), and colon polyps (bowel polyps).
