John graduated with Honors in Medicine from Monash University in Dec. 1968.

Post graduate studies were at Prince Henry's Hospital and 4 years overseas in Edinburgh.

He was awarded  Fellowship of the Royal college of Physicians (of Edinburgh and of Australia) Research and publications in Gastroenterology lead to membership of the Gastroenterological Society of The UK and Australia.

John has been a Consultant at the Alfred Hospital and Senior Gastroenterologist at the Dandenong Hospital in Melbourne for over 20 years.

John established the first Endoscopy Centre in Australia - "The Digestive Health Centre" This clinic has expanded to become one of the major centres in Australia.We now have six Consultant Gastroenterologists and liver specialists, dietitians, stomal therapists, continence therapists and a psychologist. The Centre is a fully registered Private Day Endoscopy Hospital. It has the highest standards possible in quality and safety as measured by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards - "The Gold Standard".

John's non Medical activities include Farming and Forestry and Competitive Horse Riding.
